Alhamdulillah, wasalatuwasalam ‘allaanabiyyinaa Muhammad (sallallaahualayhiwasallam).
This “boy” who was known with the Facebook name Isantwo Ayinla Muhammad had suddenly changed it to Faysal Mujaahid Muhammad has some erroneous beliefs in Jihad and that makes him to make certain assertions that are contradictory to the spirit of Jihad as laid down in Sharee’ah. Some of his assertions are:
1. It is not obligatory to have an Amir before executing Jihad.
2. Suicide bombers are Martyrs
3. Muslim rulers especially that of Saudi Arabia are kuffaar
4. He openly praised UsaamahbnLadin, SayyidQutb and other notorious terrorists and takfeerees.
This clarification becomes necessary in accordance to the saying of Allah (Tabaarakawata’aalaa) that (interpretation) “Verily, those who conceal the clear proofs, evidences and the guidance, which We have sent down, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book, they are the ones cursed by Allâh and cursed by the cursers”(Q2V159). Abu Sa’eed al-khudiree (radiyallaahu ‘anhu) narrated that the prophet said” if anyone of you sees Munkar(evil), let him change it with his hands, if he has no ability, let him change it with his tongue, if he has no ability, then with his heart but changing with heart is the weakest of faith (Sahih Muslim).
As for his saying that it is not obligatory to have an Amir before executing Jihad, this clearly contradicts what Abu hurayrah (radiyallaahu ‘anhu) narrated from the prophet that “the ruler is a shield; fighting takes place behind him and he is used as a barrier from attack… (Sahih Muslim 1841). Allah also commands muslims to obey those in authority of muslim state in all affairs of which jihad is not an exception as HE says “O you who believe! Obey Allâh and obey the Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu ‘alayhiwasallam]), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority…” (4V59). Allah also commands the prophet (as a leader of the muslims) to incite the believers to fight against the kuffaar as HE says “Then fight (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu ‘alayhiwasallam]) in the Cause of Allâh, you are not tasked (held responsible) except for yourself, and incite the believers (to fight along with you), it may be that Allâh will restrain the evil might of the disbelievers. And Allâh is Stronger in might and Stronger in punishing” (Q4V84).
Sheikh Muhammad Naasir al-Albaanee (‘alayhirahmatullaah) said … But Jihad has pillars and conditions, and we – the group of muslim scholars – believe that the obligatory Jihad is only obligatory upon those muslims who would help one another to establish what Allaah has obligated upon them from the jihad against the kuffaar, and evicting them from the lands they have occupied.
But, unfortunately I wish to say that this jihad which is fard – rather fardayn – is not possible to be established by individuals as occurs in the question, rather not even by some of the Islamic groups. Because the likes of this jihad, especially in our times in which the means of fighting have become many, is not possible to be established by the Islamic groups not to speak of individuals! But the obligation is upon the countries, and those Islamic countries that have the strength to prepare for war, and the means of modern day warfare, by which if they gathered together sincerely for this jihad they would establish the fard‘ayn. But, very unfortunately, these countries have not moved a limb to establish this.
So therefore, we believe that this Jihad is not possible except under an Islamic authority firstly, and under an Islamic group comprising of people from different lands, not just one land or one region. from ‘Fataawaa al-Albaanee’ (a transcription of some of the cassettes of the shaikh) when the shaikh was asked his opinion on jihaad.
ON SUICIDE BOMBING!
Allah (Subhaanahuwata’aalaa) says (Interpretation) “O you who believe! Eat not up your property among yourselves unjustly except it is a trade amongst you, by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves (nor kill one another). Surely, Allâh is Most Merciful to you. And whoever commits that through aggression and injustice, We shall cast him into the Fire, and that is easy for Allâh.(Q4V29-30).
Prophet Muhammad [sal-Allâhu ‘alayhiwasallam]has said, ” None amongst you should make a request for death, do not call for it before it comes, for when anyone of you dies he ceases to do good deeds and the life of a believer is not prolonged but for goodness.” SAHIH MUSLIM , BOOK 035, NUMBER 6485
The Prophet [sal-Allâhu ‘alayhiwasallam] has said, ” Whoever purposely throws himself from a mountain and kills himself, will be in Hell Fire falling down into it and abiding therein perpetually forever, and whoever drinks poison and kills himself with it, he will be carrying his poison in his hand and drinking it in the Hell Fire, wherein he will abide eternally forever; and whoever kills himself with a weapon, will be carrying that weapon in his hand and killing himself with it in the Hell Fire; wherein he will abide eternally forever.”SAHIH BUKHARI VOLUME 7, BOOK 71, NUMBER 670
Almighty Allah (Subhaanahuwata’aalaa) has said, “My Slave hurried to bring death upon himself so I have forbidden him to enter Paradise.” SAHIH BUKHARI, VOLUME 4, BOOK 56, NUMBER 669
Shaikh MuhammadIbnSaalih al-‘Uthaymeen, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said in his explanation of Riyaadus-Saaliheen (1/165-166), whilst giving some points of benefit from the hadeeth of Suhayb, may Allaah be pleased with him:
But as for what some people do regarding activities of suicide, tying explosives to themselves and then approaching Unbelievers and detonating them amongst them, then this is a case of suicide and Allaah’ s refuge is sought. So whoever commits suicide then he will be consigned eternally to Hell-Fire, remaining there forever, as occurs in the hadeeth of the Prophet, sallallaahualaihiwasallam. (i.e., his, sallallaahualaihiwasallam, saying, ” and whoever kills himself with an iron weapon, then the iron weapon will remain in his hand, and he will continuously stab himself in his belly with it in the Fire of Hell eternally, forever and ever.” Reported by al-Bukhaaree, no. 5778 and Muslim, no. 109, in the Book of Eemaan.)
Because this person has killed himself and has not benefited Islaam. So if he kills himself along with ten, or a hundred, or two hundred other people, then Islaam will not benefit by that, since the people will not accept Islaam, contrary to the story of the boy. Rather it will probably just make the enemy more determined, and this action will provoke malice and bitterness in his heart to such an extent that he may seek to wreak havoc upon the Muslims.
This is what is found from the practice of the Jews with the people of Palestine * so when one of the Palestinian blows himself up and kills six or seven people, then in retaliation they take sixty or more. So this does not produce any benefit for the Muslims, and does not benefit those amongst whose ranks explosives are detonated.
So what we hold is that those people who perform these suicide (bombings) have wrongfully committed suicide, and that this necessitates entry into Hell-Fire, and Allaah’s refuge is sought and that this person is not a martyr (shaheed). However if a person has done this based upon misinterpretation, thinking that it is permissible, then we hope that he will be saved from sin, but as for martyrdom being written for him, then no, since he has not taken the path of martyrdom. But whoever performs ijtihaad and errs will receive a single reward (if he is a person qualified to make ijtihaad).”
Sheikh Muhammad Naasir al-Albaanee (rahimahullaahu) said: “We say Suicide operations, during our present times ALL of them are GhayrMashroo’ah (meaning they are not Allowed Islamically) and all of them are MUHARRAMAH (HARAM!!!). It could be the person who commits it could fall into the category of those who remain in hell-fire forever, or it could be that he doesn’t remain in hell-fire forever.
To say that these suicide operations are a form of gaining closeness to Allah, then these people who fight for the path of their country, or the path of their land, then these suicide operations are Completely UnIslamic!.
Rather, I say today, what is Islamic reality today is not the reality as we would wish by some of the emotional Muslims (mutahamissin). Today there is no jihad in any of the Islamic lands totally (itlaqan). But, there is fighting, there is a lot of fighting in some of the lands, as for jihad..it has to be under the Islamic Leader and Islamic Law . From these rules the soldier does not do things on his own will, he does not make his own judgements and his own evaluations. But, he has to obey the commands of his Leader. He should not be aiding the General, but the Khalifah of the Muslims.
TAKFEER OF SAUDI RULERS
Then he (IsantwoAyinle Muhammad) followed his mentorstakfeerees like Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi, Abdullah Faysal, Usaamah bn Laden etc. in declaring Saudi rulers as kuffaar simply because they are in relationship and in treaty in some worldly affairs with the like of USA, UK and as a member in UN. They (takfeerees) also asserted that these rulers are aiding the unbelievers against the muslims. All these assertions are full of lies and those acts are not kufr not to talk of making muslim rulers kuffaar.
Allah (Subhaanahuwata’aalaa) says (Interpretation) “Allâh does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion nor drove you out of your homes. Verily, Allâh loves those who deal with equity. It is only as regards those who fought against you on account of religion, and have driven you out of your homes, and helped to drive you out, that Allâhforbids you to befriend them. And whosoever will befriend them, then such are the Zâlimûn (wrong doers – those who disobey Allâh) (Q60V8-9).
Imam Ahmad recorded that Asma’ bint Abu Bakr (radiyallaahu ‘anhaa) said, “My mother, who was an idolatress at the time, came to me during the Treaty of Peace, the Prophet conducted with the Quraysh. I came to the Prophet and said, `O Allah’s Messenger! My mother came visiting, desiring something from me, should I treat her with good relations’ The Prophet said, Yes. Keep good relation with your mother. The Two Sahihs also recorded this Hadith.
The verses above simply mean we should not fight the kuffaar if they agreed to live in peace with the muslims, if there is treaty of peace between them and the muslims or if they agree to pay jizyah to the muslim ruler as Allah says (Interpretation) “Fight against those who believe not in Allâh, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu ‘alayhiwasallam]), and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued” (Q9V29). Apart from that, we should hate them and not take them as close friends as Allah says in many verses in Quran one of which is “O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as protecting friends; they are but protecting friends of each other. And if any among you takes them (as protecting friends), then surely, he is one of them. Verily, Allah guides not those people who are the wrongdoers” (Q5V51). The prophet also entered into peace treaty with the unbelievers, which is known as Treaty of Al-Hudaybiyyah in history of Islam. PRAISING HIS JIHADEE MENTORS
As for praising his mentors like Usaamah bn Ladin, SayyidQutb etc. below are the sayings of our scholars about them:
Shaikh ‘Abdul Muhsin Al-’Abbaad (Hafidhaullaahu) Was Asked About The Killing Of The Kharijite Bin Ladin
Question: What is the balanced position concerning the killing of Usamah Bin Laden as there are those who are delighted with his killing, and others who said that he was a “Mujaahid” and they judged him to have achieved martyrdom?
Shaikh ‘Abdul Muhsin Al-’Abbaad (hafidhahullaah) said:
How is he a Mujaahid?! Yes, he was a Mujaahid [a person who strove] in the path of the devil. Usamah Bin Ladin brought a great deal of evil to the Muslims, and there is no doubt that his departure will bring them ease; the people will be more at ease due to his departure.
ShaikhMuqbil bin Hadi al-Wadi’i (Rahimullah), the Salafi Scholar of Yemen stated:
“I absolve and exonerate myself (in front of Allah) from Bin Ladin, for he is a misfortune and a calamity upon the ummah (Muslim nation), and his actions are evil.” [Published in the Kuwaiti magazine, ar-Ra’i, dated 19 December 1998]
The late Shaykh Ahmad bin Yahyaa an-Najmee (rahimahullaah) was asked:
Some people claim that Bin Ladin is the awaited mahdee (leader) and they grant him the title “Chief of the Believers”. So what is your advice in this [matter]?
The Shaykh responded:
These (ones) are the devils (shayaateen). They are the devils. Bin Ladin is a ShaytaanKhabeeth (a filthy devil), a Kharijite (a renegade revolter). It is not permissible for anyone to praise him. Anyone who praises him, then this is evidence that he is a Kharijite just like him … anyone who praises him, then this is evidence that he is a Kharijite just like him.
ON SAYYID QUTB
Fatwaa of ShaikhNasirud-Deen al-Albani (rahimahullaahu)
The Muhaddith and Imaam, al-Albanirahimahullaah said, commenting upon the book al-AwaasimMimmaa Fee Kutub Sayyid Qutub Min al-Qawasim of Shaikh Rabee bin Haadee, “Everything with which you have refuted Sayyid Qutb is the truth (haqq) and is correct (sawab). And it will become sufficiently clear from this refutation to everyone who has read anything from “The Islamic Heritage” that SayyidQutb had no knowledge of the Usool (fundamentals) or the Furoo (subsidiary matters) of Islaam. So may Allaah reward you with the best of reward, O brother Rabee for fulfilling the obligation of explaining and uncovering his ignorance and deviation from Islaam.”

Fatwaa of Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Uthaimeen (rahimahullaahu)
Question: “What is your saying concerning a man who advises the Sunni youth to read the books of Sayyid Qutb, especially Fee Dhilaalil-Quraan and Ma’aalim Fit-Taareeq, without warning about any of the errors and deviations present in these books?”
Answer: “My statement may Allaah bless you is that whoever gives sincerity of purpose to Allaah, His Messenger, and his brother Muslims, that he should encourage the people to read the books of those who have preceded us from the books of tafsir and other than tafsir. These books contain more blessings, are more beneficial and are much better than the books of the later ones. As for the tafsir of SayyidQutb may Allaah have mercy upon him then it contains great calamities, however we hope that Allaah pardons him. In it are great calamities, such as his tafsir of Istiwaa and his tafsir of “QulHuwallaahuAhad”, and similarly, his description of one of the Messengers with something unbefitting.”

Fatwaa of Shaikh Salih al-Fawzaan (hafidhaullaahu)
Question: “[AdnaanAroor] said, “Why is Imaam Ahmad not reproached for his takfir of the one who abandons prayer and yet Sayyid Qutb is reproached merely because some of these expressions occurred from him (i.e. his takfir of Muslim societies). So we say: This one performed takfir of the Muslim societies (i.e. Qutb), and yet Imaam Ahmad (may Allaah have mercy upon him) is not reproached despite his judgement of kufr against all these societies [meaning that the majority of them do not pray].”
So what is your comment upon this?”
Answer:Imaam Ahmad is a scholar and a sage (erudite, sagacious) who knows the evidences and the manner of extracting proof from them and Sayyid Qutb is an ignoramus (jaahil) who has no knowledge or cognisance and neither does he have any evidences for what he says. Hence, equating between Imaam Ahmad and Sayyid Qutb is injustice (dhulm) [because Imaam Ahmad has many evidences from the Book and the Sunnah for the one who deliberately abandons the prayer whereas Sayyid does not have a single piece of evidence for his takfir of the Muslims in general. Rather the evidences are in opposition to what he says].”
DECLARING SCHOLARS OF SUNNAH AS INNOVATORS
This boy also has audacity to declare Sheikh Saalih Fawzaan (Hafidhaullaahu) and Sheikh Rabee’ bnHaadee al- Madkhalee (Hafidhaullaahu) as innovators mainly because of what he claimed they say in their books.
In one narration about khawaarij:
A person among the people then sought permission (from the Holy Prophet) for his murder. According to some, it was Khalid b. Walid who sought the permission. Upon this the Messenger of Allah (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam), said: From this very person’s posterity there would arise people who would recite the Qur’an, but it would not go beyond their throat; they would kill the followers of Islam and would spare the idol-worshippers. They would go out of Islam so hurriedly just as the arrow passes through the pray. If I were to ever find them I would kill them like ‘Ad.
[Sahih Muslim: Book 005, Number 2318]
He defended SayidQutb who was a notorious innovator on the basis of ‘UdhrubilJahl but can declare the Scholars of Sunnah as innovators without any excuse. What a double standard character!
This boy (Faysal Mujaahid Muhammad or IsantwoAyinla Muhammad) is on the manhaj of Usamahbn Laden and Boko Haram as he believes that suicide bombing is permissible and that muslims rulers are kuffaar. You may be deceived by some of his posts on facebook warning people against bid’ah and shirk but he himself is one of those whom our scholars warned us to distance ourselves from. He cannot condemn the activities of notorious Boko Haram in Nigeria because they are on the same manhaj as well as other rebels launching terrorist attack around the world.
This write-up is not to defame him as I have talked to him privately but he persists on this falsehood and spreads it. I pray Almighty Allah to let him see the truth and assist him to follow it and that Allah keeps us firm upon salafiyyah and makes us die as muslims.
